New York City FC and St. Louis CITY SC played to a 1-1 draw at Citi Field on Saturday night. After a scoreless first half, NYCFC took the lead in the 51st minute when Hannes Wolf collected the ball in the St. Louis half, combined with Maxi Moralez, and finished calmly past goalkeeper Roman Bürki.

The hosts continued to apply pressure, with Agustín Ojeda and Nicolás Fernández Mercau creating several chances, though Bürki and the St. Louis defense repeatedly denied them. St. Louis also had opportunities, with Marcel Hartel and Simon Becher testing Matt Freese in goal during the first half and later attempts blocked by Thiago Martins.

New York City made substitutions in the second half, including Jonny Shore, Raúl Gustavo, Talles Magno, and Nico Cavallo, as they looked to secure a second goal. Despite multiple close chances, the match remained in NYCFC’s favor until stoppage time. Brendan McSorley headed home a late delivery to level the score, forcing both sides to share the points.

Next Fixture: New York City FC will visit the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, April 11, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 PM ET.
