New York City FC Sign Brazilian Defender Joāo Loiola

New York City FC today announced that it has signed Defender Joāo Loiola to a Short-Term Agreement from MLS NEXT Pro affiliate New York City FC II.
The Brazilian joined New York City FC II in May of this year and has since made 10 appearances and scored one goal in the 2026 MLS NEXT Pro season.
Loiola will be available for selection ahead of tonight's Leagues Cup match against Santos Laguna.
Kick off at the Sports Illustrated Stadium is at 7:30pm (EST).
